I am a grateful mental health advocate, mental wellness expert, and chronic illness recovery coach. I am certified by NAMI as a Peer Support Specialist and a Presenter.
I have lived with bipolar disorder for more than 20 years AND I'm thriving. I want to show the world that there is no shame in living with a mental health diagnosis, in fact, it can be a gift if you stay healthy. I’ve lived all over the country, moving for work which included being a news anchor, actress, screenwriter, and business owner.
Now I’ve found my purpose in being of service by sharing my lived experience while also pursuing my passions which include writing both screenplays and my memoir, speaking, and real estate investing.
Bipolar disorder was a mystery to me when I was diagnosed in my 20s. All I knew was based on terrifying stories in books, TV, and film. I felt broken and wondered what my life would look like with a mental illness.
I had my first hospitalization in 2003. My recovery took two years. But after that, I bounced back. I was myself again: creating, growing, and finding a spiritual path. I was healthy for almost two decades until summer of 2023. This time I recovered in a year.
I see the beauty of recovering. I have an illness just like diabetes, cancer, or heart disease. There's nothing wrong with me.
Celebrate mental wellness and stay healthy with me!
I am thank ful for 18 years of remission from Bipolar Disorder. It wasn't only medication and therapy, I made wellness the center of my life. I am committed to being of service and fighting stigma.
My self-care includes gratitude lists, meditation, yoga, journaling, shadow work, also healing my early childhood trauma and learning about mental health. I completed NAMI's peer-to-peer program and I will have my Medi-Cal Peer Support Certification in 2025.
I am creating guided meditations and affirmations along with inspirational merchandise to get you excited about your mental wellness.
